What are your hours? We are open Monday thru Friday from 6:30am to 5:30pm.
Are you licensed? Jenny’s Playhouse is a state licensed home childcare facility.
How long has your facility been open? We opened our doors October 2007.
Are employees trained in first aid and CPR? Every person that is employed by Jenny’s Playhouse has first aid and CPR and must renew it every two years.
Are background checks completed on all employees? Yes, all employees must have a background clearance.
Are meals provided? We Provide three meals and two snacks a day. All the meals and snacks meet USDA food guidelines. Your child must be present at the time the meals and snacks are served or they must wait until the next meal or snack.
Are nap times provided? All children from one years old to five years old take a nap from 12:15pm to 2:15pm. Infants take as many naps as they need throughout the day.
Do you take vacations? Yes, Jenny’s Playhouse takes two week's vacation per year. When provider is on vacations childcare and preschool will be closed and you will be required to pay 1/2 of your child's tuition for provider vacations. We will give you at least one month notice prior to any vacations.
Is there a preschool curriculum? Yes we have an educational preschool curriculum that we follow to get your child ready for kindergarten. We start introducing Colors and shapes at the age of a year and a half and advance as the child is ready. You may browse my curriculum section to find out more.
Do you offer transportation? Transportation is provided to and from Crossroads Elementary school.
What is your sick policy? We have a very strict sick policy at this time. Children must be symptom free of any illness for a minimum of 48 hours.
Are immunizations required? Yes, All children in my care are required to be up to date on immunizations. The state of California has an immunization schedule that I must follow.
How do you discipline the children? When a child "makes a poor choice,” we first try to talk to them about making good choices and if that doesn’t work we try to redirect the child to a different activity. If the child continues to make a poor choice after talking to them we will put them in time out for 1 minute per year of their age.
Are there restrictions on who may pick up your child? When someone comes to pick up a child that we don’t recognize we will ID them and match it to the identification form. If you send someone to pick up your child make sure you listed them on the identification form otherwise if they come and they are not on the form we will not release your child to that person. We do not accept phone calls you must come in to add a person to the list. NO EXCEPTIONS.
